Designing a Photo Book in Project Life

Updated: Aug 10

Using Project Life to design pages is great, but how do you get from the Project Life App to having a book in your hand?

Design

The first step is to download the Project Life app and design all your pages. Take the time to properly name your pages to ensure easy placement when creating your book. Next you'll need to Export your pages out of the Project Life app so you can load them into an online book designer.

Export out of Project Life

Within each page you have created, you'll see a Send/Share icon (box with arrow) in the bottom corner. Click Export, Image. Next you need to choose where to export your files so you can then access those images from that location when uploading into your book. (Photos App, Dropbox, etc.)

Import into an Online Designer

You now have images of all the pages you created. Open an online designer (Mixbook, SharedMoments, Blurb, Millers, etc.) and start a Blank Book project. Upload your images from their location on your computer and drag and drop each image onto a page.

Order you book and ENJOY!

*I prefer to use Shared Moments (in Canada) for this type of project, and I use the Imported Page option under PhotoBooks. This will allow you to easily drag and drop one image per page and it leaves a clean white border around the edge of your Project Life image. This eliminates issues with the borders in your Project Life pages being cut off.
