​With every printed photo curation project, there are 5 main steps.

How we accomplish these steps will vary depending on your collection and your goals.

 

Steps

1 :: Gather [pull photos from albums, boxes, drawers, frames, etc.]

2 :: Organize [we will batch photos into approximate date groupings: dates, times, events]

3 :: Scan [we will digitize the images you would like to preserve and blend them seamlessly with your current digital collection]

4 :: Backup/Store [we will ensure your printed photos are safely tucked into proper storage, while ensuring your new, digital                  copies are backed up ... eliminating all fear of losing precious memories]

5 :: Share [the goal is to be able to access your photos easily so you can create books, print and fill frames, text friends...]

Local to Southwestern Ontario

If you're local to GingerSnaps, we'll arrange a time for me to pick up your boxes, albums, and bins ... or you're welcome to drop them off. Printed collections are often too bulky to mail comfortably, so this is the easiest option if you're nearby. I'll do the sorting, organizing, and scanning in my office and return everything to you when the project is complete.

Non-Local to Southwestern Ontario

If you're farther away, shipping is still an option, and I have clients across North America who do exactly that. Because printed photos are one-of-a-kind, I'll walk you through how to pack them safely and we'll choose a shipping method with tracking and insurance. Everything is returned to you the same way once your project is finished.

If shipping originals feels like too much, I can try to connect you with a Photo Manager who is within driving distance.

Photo Restoration

Faded, torn, water-damaged, or creased ... many old photos can be brought back to life. I handle everyday repairs myself, and for photos that need specialized work, I have a trusted network of restoration experts I can bring in.
